Sleep is a fundamental pillar of health. Playing a role in repair and regeneration, immune function, hormonal health, and mood regulation.
Sleep is also vital for optimal brain function and cognitive performance, during sleep, the brain consolidates memories, processes information, and restores mental clarity, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to increased risk of various health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. It can also lead to increased irritability, mood swings, and heightened stress levels, as well as decreased cognitive function and impaired brain health.
By conducting a thorough exploration of health behaviours, lifestyle factors, and sleep hygiene practices I help clients improve their sleep quality and quantity. Through personalised assessments and deep dives into their unique way of life, I identify specific challenges and opportunities for improvement. By collaborating with clients to develop tailored solutions and practical strategies, I empower them to make sustainable changes that promote restorative sleep and overall well-being.

Movement is equally essential for physical, emotional and cognitive health. Engaging in regular physical activity has numerous benefits for our bodies, including reduced risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, as well as improved overall longevity.
Beyond its physical benefits, movement also has profound effects on our emotional well-being and can also help to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve self-esteem, and enhance overall emotional resilience.
Movement has a significant impact on mental and cognitive function. Enhancing cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, and decision-making. Physical activity stimulates the production of growth hormones in the brain, which promote the formation of new neurons and improve neural connectivity.
I coach clients to overcome sedentary behaviour and integrate more movement and activity into their daily lives to meet recommended guidelines*. Working collaboratively to identify barriers to physical activity and develop practical strategies for increasing movement throughout the day.
*Guidelines typically include aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity per week, along with muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days per week. Additionally, aiming for a daily step count of around 7,000 to 10,000 steps is often recommended to promote overall health and reduce sedentary behaviour.
